THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD,  YESTERDAY,  HEARD THAT  “CARES”  ACT MONEY HAS BEEN SENT TO ABOUT  THIRTY-FIVE SMALL BUSINESSES.212  THOUSAND DOLLARS HAS BEEN DISTRIBUTED,  OUT OF THE  ONE-POINT-SIX MILLION THE COUNTY EARMARKED FOR BUSINESSES FINANCIALLY IMPACTED BY COVID-19 THIS SPRING AND SUMMER. ABOUT SIXTY BUSINESSES HAVE FILED AN APPLICATION FOR HELP WITH NORTHWEST COMMUNITY ACTION,  WHICH IS ADMINISTERING THE PROGRAM FOR ROSEAU COUNTY. THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS NEXT TUESDAY  (September 15).

ROSEAU COUNTY HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTIONS ARE TOMORROW AFTERNOON  (1-4 PM)  AT THE ROSEAU COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT;  AND FRIDAY  AT TEN AND TWO AT THE BADGER COUNTY SHOP AND AT THE GREENBUSH CITY/COUNTY SHOP.

THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL MEETS MONDAY EVENING.IT’LL BE SIX WEEKS SINCE THE LAST COUNCIL MEETING,  DUE TO THE LABOR DAY HOLIDAY.

THE LIFECARE HEALTH CARE FUND IS LOOKING FOR FUNDING PROPOSALS FOR HEALTH CARE RELATED PROGRAMS,  PROJECTS AND SERVICES  FROM NONPROFITS IN THE LIFECARE SERVICE AREA. THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS IS NEXT TUESDAY  (September 15).
