THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION IS WARNING MOTORISTS TO BE AWARE OF LARGE AND SLOW-MOVING FARM EQUIPMENT DURING THE HARVEST SEASON. IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS, FOURTEEN PEOPLE HAVE DIED ON MINNESOTA ROADS AS THE RESULT OF A CRASH INVOLVING FARM EQUIPMENT.

THE MINNESOTA RURAL BROADBAND COALITION HAS LAUNCHED A MINNESOTA SPEED TEST INITIATIVE IN KOOCHICHING, ITASCA AND ST LOUIS COUNTIES. THE COALITION SAYS A LACK OF BROADBAND IN RURAL MINNESOTA HAMPERS DISTANCE LEARNING, TELEWORK AND TELEHEALTH.
