CONGRESSWOMAN MICHELLE FISHBACH ISSUED A STATEMENT YESTERDAY ON THE US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES PASSAGE OF THE WASHINGTON DC ADMISSION ACT, WHICH IS AN EFFORT TO GRANT STATEHOOD TO THE DISTRICT OF COLOMBIA. SHE CALLED IT AN “UNCONSTITUTIONAL POWER GRAB… THAT WOULD CONSOLIDATE THEIR POLITICAL POWER BY ADDING TWO SENATORS AND AT LEAST ONE REPRESENTATIVE FROM A HIGHLY PROGRESSIVE CONSTITUENCY.”

THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES ON TUESDAY SAID ANGLERS HAD AN EXCELLENT WINTER SEASON, HARVESTING 143,000 POUNDS OF WALLEYE.

 

WADENA COULD SOON SERVE AS A STOP FOR A SECOND PASSENGER TRAIN THAT WOULD CONNECT FARGO/MOORHEAD TO THE TWIN CITIES AND CHICAGO. CURRENTLY A TRAIN ROLLS THROUGH WADENA AT ROUGHLY 3 AM, A SECOND TRAIN WOULD COME THROUGH AROUND 8:30. THAT PASSENGER DEPOT HAS NOT BEEN USED FOR SUCH A THING SINCE 1971.
