THE MINNESOTA BOARD OF PHARMACY IS TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST A COMPANY WITH LOCATIONS IN BOTH BEMIDJI AND MOORHEAD, FOR SELLING A PRODUCT THAT WOULD VIOLATE NEW STATE LAWS ON EDIBLE THC PRODUCTS. THE GUMMIES, “DEATH BY GUMMY BEARS” SOLD AT NORTHLAND VAPOR CONTAINED 100 MILLIGRAMS OF THC PER SERVING AND 2,500 MILLIGRAMS PER PACKAGE, THAT IS 20 TIMES THE LEGAL AMOUNT PER SERVING AND MORE THAN 50 TIMES THE AMOUNT ALLOWED TO BE SOLD IN A SINGLE PACKAGE. LAWS ALSO STATE THAT EDIBLES CANNOT TAKE THE SHAPE OF ANYTHING THAT COULD MAKE IT MORE ATTRACTIVE TO YOUTH. THE GUMMIES HAVE BEEN LINKED TO THE HOSPITILIZATIONS OF TWO YOUTH IN IOWA.
