AN EAST GRAND FORKS MAN IS FACING CHARGES AFTER HITTING HIS NEIGHBORS HOME WITH GUNFIRE WHILE TRYING TO SHOOT A SQUIRREL. MICHAEL JAMES POWERS HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH FELONY DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM WITHIN CITY LIMITS AND ALSO A RECKLESS HANDLING OF A WEAPON CHARGE. THE OWNERS DISCOVERED DAMAGE WHEN THEY ARRIVED HOME, ONE BULLET HAD GONE THROUGH THE WINDOW OF A CHILD’S BEDROOM. THEY DETERMINED WHERE THE BULLETS HAD COME FROM AND SPOKE WITH AN ARRESTED THE MAN. WHEN HE TOLD HIS WIFE HE WAS BEING ARRESTED, SHE RESPONDED, “WELL, I TOLD YOU.”
