THE FOUR SEASONS SENIOR CENTER IN ROSEAU WILL BE HOSTING A CORN COB FEED, NEXT TUESDAY, AUGUST 22 FROM 5-7 PM. THEY’LL HAVE CORN, BRATS, ICE CREAM AND BEVERAGES. IT’S A FREEWILL DONATION. THE CENTER IS LOOKING TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL A NEW DISHWASHER SYSTEM.
A TOBACCO STORE ON THE WHITE EARTH RESERVATION WAS INVESTIGATED LAST WEEK BY WHITE EARTH TRIBAL POLICE, THE MAHNOMEN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND THE PAUL BUNYAN TASK FORCE ON COMPLAINTS THAT IT WAS SELLING MARIJUANA. THE DRUGS WAS SEIZED BUT NO ONE WAS ARRESTED AND THE COUNTY ATTORNEY WILL DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT TO PRESS CHARGES. DESPITE THE SALE NOW BEING LEGAL, YOU STILL MUST BE LISCENSED TO DO SO, AND THE STORE WAS NOT.
THE WARROAD SUMMER THEATER IS HOSTING AUDITIONS TOMMORROW EVENING AND WEDNESDAY EVENING AT ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH IN WARROAD FOR AN UPCOMING PLAY “NANA’S NAUGHTY KNICKERS”. THE CAST IS FIVE WOMEN AND FOUR MEN.
