BOUNDARY WATERS CANOE AREA WILDERNESS PERMITS FOR SUMMER TRIPS BECAME AVAILABLE YESTERDAY. ANY TRIP INTO THE AREA BETWEEN MAY 1 AND SEPTEMBER 30 REQUIRES A PERMIT.
THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL WILL MEET ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 5TH FOR THEIR REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING.
ALTRU AND LIFECARE MEDICAL CENTER HAVE SIGNED A LETTER OF INTENT TO EXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR A NEW HEALTHCARE MODEL IN ROSEAU, WARROAD, AND GREENBUSH. ALTRU CURRENTLY OPERATES CLINICS IN THOSE COMMUNITIES WHILE LIFECARE OWNS THE HOSPITAL IN ROSEAU. THEY WILL EXPLORE ALIGNING HOSPITAL AND CLINIC SERVICES.
A Memorial service for Roger Klemetson will be held at 2PM, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at United Free Lutheran Church in Greenbush with Pastor David Neimela presiding.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

A Funeral Service for Robert “Bob” A. Slick of Baudette, MN will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00PM at First Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Elm Park Cemetery. A reception and Celebration of Bob’s Life will follow the church service at the VFW in Baudette.
Bob passed away at the age of 76.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Sherry Hunt of Warroad will take place on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 1:30 pm, with a visitation an hour prior at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls. The night before, there will also be a visitation at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Interment will take place at Landstad Cemetery in Thief River Falls.

Lucille passed away at the age of 88.
