CHILD CARE LICENSING STANDARDS IN MINNESOTA ARE SET TO BE REVISED, BUT NOT AS SOON AS THEY ORIGINALLY THOUGHT. CHILD CARE PROVIDERS HAVE PUSHED BACK AGAINST A DRAFT OF THOSE CHANGES FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES, AND NOW THEY SAY THOSE CHANGES WILL NOT BE PRESENTED IN THE 2025 LEGISLATIVE SESSION. CHILD CARE PROVIDERS SAID THEY WERE NOT PLEASED THAT THEIR CONCERNS DID NOT SEEM TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. IT’S BEEN OVER 40 YEARS SINCE THOSE LICENSING STANDARDS HAVE BEEN REVISED.
21-YEAR OLD KIRA JOYCE STORY OF ROSEAU, AND A FEMALE ROSEAU JUVENILE WERE INVOLVED IN A CRASH NORTH OF THIEF RIVER FALLS LAST WEEK. THEY WERE PASSENGERS IN ONE VEHICLE. THEY REPORTED NO INJURIES. 81-YEAR OLD RICHARD WAYNE JORDE OF THIEF RIVER FALLS AND A MALE ROSEAU JUVENILE WERE IN THE OTHER VEHICLE, AND WERE BOTH TRANSPORTED TO SANFORD MEDICAL CENTER IN THIEF RIVER FALLS. THAT CRASH OCCURRED ON HIGHWAY 59 IN EXCEL TOWNSHIP.

Badger School District – Three seats will be on
the ballot in the Badger
School District. Four candidates have filed. They are
Jodie Davy, Dana Didrikson,
Cari Dostal and Brent
Olson.
• Grygla School District – Three positions will
be on the ballot in the
Grygla School District. Candidates are Alisha Anderson,
Tonia Haack, Carson Saurdiff and Gretchen Smeby.
• Kittson Central
School District (Hallock)
– Four seats will be on the
ballot in the Kittson Central
School District. Candidates
are Dylan Bowman, Crisa
Mortenson, Andrew Muir,
Michael Olsonawski, Molly
Sobolik and Tori Younggren.
