STATE REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT 1A: JOHN BURKEL EASILY WON RE-ELECTION OVER JAMES SCEVILLE WITH 76% OF THE VOTE. MICHELLE FISHBACH GETS ANOTHER TERM IN THE 7TH CONGRESIONAL DISTRICT GARNERING ABOUT 70% OF THE VOTE.
US SENATOR AMY KLOBUCHAR WON RE-ELECTION OVER ROYCE WHITE.

YOUR COMMISSIONER SEATS IN ROSEAU AND THE MAYORAL RACE IN ROSEAU WERE UNCONTESTED.
TWO ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL SEATS WILL GO TO PAT NOVACEK (31%) AND OLIVER ULLMAN (28%). KEITH SEVERSON WAS THE NEXT CLOSEST (23%).

IN WARROAD, THE NUMBERS HAVE TOM GOLDSMITH NARROWLY BEATING OUT BOB MARVIN IN THE MAYOR RACE BY ONLY 8 VOTES.
MICHELE VANDAL AND DEAN DORHOLT WON THE TWO CITY COUNCIL SEATS.

ANGIE GREGORSON AND ROBERT DOSTAL WON TWO BADGER CITY COUNCIL SEATS.

IN A CROWEDED FIELD FOR THREE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD SEATS, NEAL VATNSDAL, THOR DIDRICKSON, AND DAVID SIMMONS WERE THE TOP VOTE-GETTERS. MICKY HULST TRAILED BY ABOUT 60 VOTES.
THE OPERATING REFERENDUM QUESTION IN ROSEAU FAILED BY A SIGNIFICANT MARGIN, WITH A 61% NO VOTE.

BADGER SCHOOL BOARD, BRENT OLSON, CARI DOSTAL, AND JODIE DAVEY WON THE THREE SEATS.
ONLY QUESTION 1 OF THEIR OPERATING REFERENDUM WAS APPROVED. QUESTION 2 FAILED, AND QUESTION 3 FOR A BUILDING REFERENDUM FAILED.

THREE SEATS ON THE WARROAD SCHOOL BOARD WILL GO TO CINDY DROST (26%), DAMIAN MCMILLIN (23%) AND MARQUES STRICKER (18%).

CRAIG SEVERS WON THE VOTE IN A SPECIAL ELECTION TO FILL ONE SPOT ON THE LAKE OF THE WOODS SCHOOL BOARD. NATE HAYES WON THE RACE IN SCHOOL BOARD DISTRCIT 3.
BOTH QUESTIONS, ONE ON A CAPITAL PROJECT LEVY AND ANOTHER ON DISTRICT BONDS, BOTH FAILED.

AN OPERATING REFERENDUM WITH KITTSON CENTRAL SCHOOL EASILY PASSED AT 63%.
MICHAEL OLSONAWSKI, ANDREW MUIR, CHRISA MORTENSON, AND MOLLIE SOBOLIK WON FOUR SCHOOL BOARD SEATS.

THE MUCH TALKED ABOUT REFENDUM QUESTION IN THIEF RIVER FALLS PASSED WITH 55% OF THE VOTE.

IT WAS TIGHT IN GRYGLA FOR THREE SCHOOL BOARD SPOTS, WITH FOUR NAMES TO CHOOSE FROM. ALISHA ANDERSON, TONIA HAACK, AND CARSON SAURDIFF TOOK THOSE SPOTS. GRETCHEN SMEBY WAS SHORT BY ABOUT 40 VOTES.
ALL THREE OF THEIR DISTRICT QUESTIONS PASSED BY A FAIRLY EASY MARGIN.

A Funeral Service for John F. Rybak Jr. will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 2:00PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at America Cemetery in Warroad, MN.
John passed away at the age of 63.
