Rams Girls Basketball end their 2018-19 Season as 3rd Place State Champions on their 5th straight trip to the tournament. After a hard semifinal loss to Caledonia, there was some question about the girls coming into the 3rd place game against Albany feeling defeated. That was put to rest the moment the Rams hit the floor. Roseau immediately took a lead and control of the game, forcing turnovers and fouls from Albany. Rams were in the double bonus with 9 minutes left of the first half and made 22 points from turnovers alone, and taking 16 free throw shots to go into halftime with a 45-23 lead. Rams came out just as focused in the second half to dominate a game that was never in question, and notching an 81-43 win for their final game of a season that only saw 3 losses.
Rams only say goodbye to two Seniors at the end of this season, but they are powerhouses! Emma Waling and Kacie Borowicz take home a third place state trophy in their last game as Rams. Congratulations to all the girls on a truly impressive season, and a special thank you to Kacie and Emma for setting a high standard, both on and off the court. You will be missed, but your legacies will resonate for years to come as you find, and no doubt dominate, your next adventure.
