LANCASTER, Minn. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection will implement the summer seasonal schedule at the Lancaster Port of Entry effective May 12.
The current hours of operation at the Lancaster port of entry are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The summer hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., beginning May 12 and concluding Sept. 14. Travelers wishing to cross into the U.S. when the port is closed may use the Pembina, North Dakota, Port of Entry, which is open 24 hours and located approximately 30 miles west of Lancaster.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation’s borders at and between official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
