Ah, to be young and in love; just starting out with all the joys of being newly married. At least, that is what Corie and Paul Bratter thought. Madly in love and ready for anything, the two marry and plan to live happily ever after. After six days, the honeymoon is over and real life is about to come snowing down on them. Is there any hope for this romance to endure all the trials of those first days of finding out that your perfect love is anything but?
Fun loving Corie believes she is prepared for all the excitement of marriage to up and coming attorney Paul. Her free spirited ways have created quite the intrepid side. Her newest acquisition, a New York brownstone apartment that is anything but homey is a prime example. Straight laced Paul appears more focused on his career than the crazy adventures his new bride is longing for and finds their new home more of a work out to get to than a joy to live in. Try as he might, he cannot see the vision his new bride had when she chose the place. There is a chill in the air that has little to do with his temperament as Paul surveys his new home. Throw in Corie’s mother, a lonely and outlandish widow, and a lecherous neighbor who is looking for someone to lavish his attention on and you have a recipe for hilarity.
