THE ROSEAU COUNTY FAIR STARTS SUNDAY WITH CHURCH NIGHT AT THE FAIR.
GRANDSTAND ENTERTAINMENT STARTS TUESDAY EVENING, WITH “WILLIAMS AND REE”; AND FOR THE FIRST TIME, THE COUNTY FAIR BOARD IS OFFERING ONLINE TICKET SALES.

 

A TRAVELING EXHIBIT AT THE ROSEAU COUNTY MUSEUM CALLED “COMING OF AGE: THE 1968 GENERATION” HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH SEPTEMBER.
THE NEXT TRAVELING EXHIBIT CELEBRATES THE CENTENNIAL OF THE 19TH AMENDMENT TO THE U.S. CONSTITUTION, GIVING WOMEN THE RIGHT TO VOTE.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR LYLE SPICER OF VASSAR, MANITOBA IS TOMORROW AFTERNOON AT TWO AT THE VASSAR HALL.

THE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD, THIS WEEK, APPROVED “PROCEEDING AS NEEDED” AHEAD OF A POTENTIAL REFERENDUM NEXT MAY ON A PROPOSED SCHOOL FACILITIES IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.
BOARD CHAIR PETE KVIEN SAYS THERE WOULD BE TWO QUESTIONS ON THE BALLOT.

AN EDUCATION RESEARCH COMPANY CONDUCTED A SURVEY EARLIER THIS YEAR OF SCHOOL DISTRICT RESIDENTS, ASKING FOR PRIORITIES AND COST COMFORT. THE FIRST QUESTION ON NEXT YEAR’S BALLOT WOULD ASK VOTERS TO APPROVE A THIRTY-SEVEN MILLION DOLLAR BOND ISSUE.

 

THE MINNESOTA D.N.R. IS HOSTING MORE OPEN HOUSES FOR CONVERSATIONS ABOUT DEER AND DEER MANAGEMENT,
INCLUDING A SEPTEMBER 5TH MEETING AT THE ROSEAU COUNTY COURTHOUSE.
OTHER AREA MEETINGS ARE AUGUST 15TH AT THE LAKE OF THE WOODS SCHOOL BAUDETTE; AUGUST 19TH AT THIEF LAKE; AND AUGUST 20TH AT LAKE BRONSON STATE PARK.

 

THE MINNESOTA CANOLA COUNCIL RECENTLY HELD AN ANNUAL FIELD DAY IN ROSEAU.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR BETH NELSON TELLS THE RED RIVER FARM NETWORK THAT FIFTY-NINE THOUSAND ACRES OF CANOLA IS BEING GROWN THIS YEAR, UP TWENTY-SIX PERCENT FROM 2018.

ROSEAU COUNTY OUTSTANDING SENIOR CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS DENNIS SMEDSMO AND CAROL HOLLAND OF ROSEAU WILL BE HONORED THIS EVENING AT A RECOGNITION BANQUET AT BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH OF GREENBUSH.

 

A ‘WIC’ CLINIC IS TODAY AT LIFECARE MEDICAL CENTER IN ROSEAU.
