THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL, LAST WEEK, APPROVED AN AMENDED PUBLIC WORKS BUDGET FOR AN IMPROVED HEATING SYSTEM AT MEMORIAL ARENA. THE APPROXIMATE 48 THOUSAND DOLLAR PROJECT WOULD CREATE A DIRECT HEAT SYSTEM SIMILAR TO ONE IN PLACE AT THE RAMS SPORTS CENTER.
CITY SUPERINTENDENT DAVID DROWN SAID THE SYSTEM WOULD BE MORE EFFICIENT, AND WOULD PUT LESS PRESSURE ON THE THREE COMPRESSORS AT THE CITY RINK.
