Beatrice Helstad passed away at the Warroad Senior Living Center on December 4, 2021 at the age of 91.
Beatrice was born in Grygla, MN on November 17, 1930 to Ray and Alice (Auna) Eastby. She attended school in Roseau and graduated from Roseau High School. After high school she attended Bemidji State University, graduating with a teaching degree. She taught school for 40 years. Her hobbies were baking, and crocheting. She was always busy!
Beatrice is survived by her husband of 71 years, Jerome; son James (Sue Vanberg); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Rose Helstad; brother Rod (Marge) Eastby; special friends Clay and Michelle Jerome; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray & Alice Eastby; Ole Eastby; son Jeffrey.
A Traditional Service will be held on December 9th at Rose Free Lutheran Church at 2:00pm with a visitation an hour before hand. Interment will be held at Norland Cemetery.
