A Funeral Service for Carol A. Edstrom of Williams, MN will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:30AM at the Cornerstone Assembly Church in Baudette, MN. Interment will take place at Elm Park Cemetery.
Carol Ann (Bakula) Edstrom passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024 in Baudette MN. She was born on February 8, 1943 in St. Paul Minnesota to Helen and Howard Bakula.
The oldest of three girls she grew up in White Bear Lake Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors degree in Teaching. Throughout her life she was an active volunteer for programs including Girl Scouts, Church Women United, World Day of Prayer and church youth groups. She enjoyed camping especially going to the Boundary Waters and exploring Gods great earth. Her love of nature extended to feeding the birds and deer in her yard on a daily basis.
Carol is survived by her children Anne Dziok, Sarah (Jim) Jones, James (Carla) Edstrom and Miriam (Chad) Botsford, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sisters Mary Helen (Dick) Swanson, Nancy Bakula, nieces, other relatives and friends.
It was Carols wish that memorials be made to environmental causes, cleaning up highways, or Native American groups.
