A Funeral Service for Charles “Buddy” Barclay of Warroad, MN will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 11:00AM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Warroad, MN.
Charles “Buddy” Wesley Barclay, 81, a resident of the Warroad Senior Living Center passed away on July 31, 2024, at LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau, MN. He was born on May 24, 1943 in Roseau to Arthur and Lillian (O’Donneil) Barclay.
Charles is known for his love of country western movies, building models, and riding his bike around town and recycling all the cans he collected. He was a hard worker. Charles loved his birthday celebrations and spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews. He would do anything for anyone.
Charles found enjoyment in boating, fishing, card games and attending the good old days in Viking, MN, driving old tractors in the parade.
He is survived by his sister Dianne (Fred) Brenhaug Haffley of Hutchinson, MN and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and preceded in death by his parents and sisters Sharon Lane Eckert and Darlene Housker.
