Joe Theis, 66, died Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at his home.
Joe was born April 16, 1958, in Bemidji, MN. He began his adult life at a young age by farming, logging, and working on the railroad.
On July 16, 1983, he married the love of his life, Lori. Nine months after the birth of their third child his battle with heart problems began forcing him to end his logging career. Despite his heart troubles, he continued farming until 2005 when he sold the farm and moved to Bemidji where he owned and operated Joe’s Auto Electric.
In 2010, Joe and Lori moved to Baudette, MN where Joe continued his lifelong love of fishing and hunting, catching countless trophy fish and harvesting a deer nearly every year.
In the late evening hours of Wednesday, December 4, 2024, Joe succumbed to his 35+ year battle with heart problems while surrounded by his wife and three children.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lori, their three children: Tina (Jeremy) Roland, Amy (Brett) Johnson, and Adam (Amber) Theis, 3 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 7 nieces and nephews.
Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Helen, and one sister.
