A Memorial Service for Linda M. Hovorka of Roseau, MN will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2:00PM at Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Linda Mae Brush was born on March 29, 1951 in Lebanon, Oregon to Sam and Marjorie (Gift) Brush. She attended school at Gilcrest High in the Cascade mountains, graduating in 1968. Later that year Linda met the love of her life Tom. They were united in marriage on June 14, 1969. Later that year they welcomed twin daughters, Michelle and Marsha. In 1970 they moved to Tom’s hometown of Rosesau, MN where they made their home.
Linda worked at The Guest House, Arnold’s Department Store, JCPenney’s and Marvin Windows and Doors until her retirement in 1999. For the past 9 yrs. after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Linda lived at the Warroad Senior Living Center.
She enjoyed baking, cooking and outdoor flowers. Her laugh was contagious and so was her smile. She will be deeply missed.
Linda is survived by her husband of 55 yrs, Tom, daughter Michelle Goettle; granddaughter Ashley (Gage) Hansen, great grandchildren Beckett and Watson Hansen; and grandson Dylan Goettle. She is also survived by five siblings, brother-in-law Kreg, sister-in-law Mary Jeanne Hovorka Kaye and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, two siblings, a son-in-law, one brother-in-law and her mother and father-in-laws.
