A SHOOTING OCCURRED INSIDE THE MALL OF AMERICA YESTERDAY AFTERNOON THAT SENT SHOPPERS RUNNING FOR COVER. LADY A, THE BIG NAME COUNTRY MUSIC TRIO, IN CANCELLING A TOUR THAT WAS SET TO MAKE STOPS AT SCHEELS ARENA IN FARGO AND ANOTHER STOP IN MINOT. IN TOTAL THE TOUR HAD 50 SHOWS. A POST SAYS GUITARIST CHARLES KELLEY IS ATTEMPTING TO MAKE HIS “JOURNEY TO SOBRIETY”.
THE HUGE COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL “WE FEST” IS BEING HELD THIS WEEKEND JUST OUTSIDE OF DETROIT LAKES. THAT FESTIVAL STARTED IN 1983, WITH A CROWD OF AROUND 9,000… THOSE CROWDS NOW GROW TO WELL OVER 20,000 DAILY.

A FUNERAL SERVICE FOR SHARON K. ORVIS FORMERLY OF ROSEAU WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY (11 AM) AT MOE LUTHERAN CHURCH IN ROSEAU. VISITATION WILL BE HELD ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE SERVICE. INTERMENT WILL BE HELD AT PINE GROVE CEMETERY. SHARON PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 79.
