ROSEAU COUNTY PUSHED PAST THE 1600 MARK FOR TOTAL COVID 19 CASES YESTERDAY, NOW SITTING AT 1609.
IT’S BEEN ANOTHER GOOD WEEK FOR THOSE NUMBERS, BUT YESTERDAYS 13 NEW CASES WAS THE LARGEST SINGLE DAY NUMBER WE’VE SEEN SINCE MID-DECEMBER.
ROSEAU COUNTY HAS ESTABLISHED A SMALL BUSINESS AND NONPROFIT GRANT PROGRAM TO ALLOCATE THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS IN STATE FUNDING TO THOSE ENTITIES AFFECTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
APPLICATION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE ROSEAU COUNTY WEBSITE ( www.co.roseau.mn.us ) AND WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE COUNTY COORDINATOR’S OFFICE BETWEEN JANUARY 16 AND JANUARY 29.
THE INTENTION IS TO DISTRIBUTE THE GRANT MONEY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER THE END OF THE MONTH.
ROSEAU COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH IS WARNING OF COVID VACCINE SCAMS, WITH CALLERS TRYING TO GET PERSONAL OR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. ROSEAU COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH SAYS COVID VACCINES ARE FREE, AND THAT THERE IS NO STATEWIDE SIGNUP LIST FOR THE VACCINE;
AND THAT PUBLIC HEALTH CASE INVESTIGATORS WILL NEVER ASK FOR CREDIT CARD OR PERSONAL INFORMATION IN A CONTACT TRACING CALL.
REPUBLICAN STATE REPRESENTATIVE JOHN BURKEL OF BADGER WAS SWORN IN THIS WEEK TO START HIS FIRST TERM IN ST PAUL.

AFTER PLANNING A RE-OPENING OF THE ROSEAU COUNTY MUSEUM FOR MONDAY, THAT DATE IS BEING PUSHED BACK BY A WEEK. THEY NOW PLAN TO RE-OPEN ON THE 19TH.
