60 YEAR OLD KEITH PERRAULT OF EVELETH WAS KILLED IN A MOTORCYCLE CRASH ON HIGHWAY 53 SOUTH OF EVELETH YESTERDAY EVENING. PERRAULT APPARENTLY LOST CONTROL OF THE MOTORCYCLE AND ROLLED; HE WAS NOT WEARING A HELMET.
A GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR A FORTY MILLION DOLLAR ROSEAU SCHOOL RENOVATION PROJECT WAS HELD YESTERDAY. SUPERINTENDENT TOM JEROME SAID THERE WAS “ONE PURPOSE” IN THE PROJECT – “TO MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR STUDENTS”. ROSEAU MAYOR JEFF PELOWSKI CALLED IT A “GREAT DAY FOR OUR COMMUNITY” AND SAID A “TRANSPARENT PROCESS WAS CRITICAL” FOR PASSAGE OF A VOTER REFERENDUM (IN WHICH 75% OF DISTRICT VOTERS APPROVED SPENDING THE MONEY). POLARIS PLANT DIRECTOR NATHAN HANSON NOTED SIXTY-SIX YEARS OF A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN POLARIS AND THE SCHOOL. ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD CHAIR PETE KVIEN TURNED THE FIRST SHOVEL.
