YESTERDAY, GOVERNOR TIM WALZ ANNOUNCED THE OPENING OF THE APPLICATION PERIOD FOR POST 9/11 VETERAN SERVICE BONUSES, IN WHICH THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED DURING THE SPECIFIFED TIME PERIOD ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE A SERVICE BONUS MADE POSSIBLE BY THE PASSING OF THE VETERANS OMNIBUS BILL, SIGNED ON MAY 10. IT INCLUDES A TOTAL OF $25 MILLION FOR THE PAYMENTS, WHICH COULD COME IN AMOUNTS OF $600 TO $2000. THE SERVICE MUST HAVE BEEN BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 AD AUGUST 30, 2021. THEY WILL BEGIN PROCESSING APPLICATIONS IMMEDIATELY, AND THEY WILL BE ACCEPTED ALL THE WAY THROUGH JUNE 30, 2024.

A Funeral Service for Dale Peterson will be held at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau on July 9, 2022 at 2:00pm with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will be held at Badger City Cemetery. Dale was 86.
