A Grand Forks man charged with six felony sex crimes in Polk County waived his omnibus hearing and pleaded not guilty to all of the charges. Wilfredo Alejandro Lopez, 22, is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl multiple times throughout 2021. Each charge has a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison and $40,000 in fines.

IT WILL ALSO CREATE A SAFER SPACE, BY MOVING THE MAIN OFFICES TO THE GROUND LEVEL, ASSURING THAT EVERY VISITOR IS SEEN AND SIGNED IN WHEN ENTERING.

A NOW 21-YEAR OLD MAN FROM FERTILE WILL SERVE A 180 DAY SENTENCE ON ELECTRONIC HOME MONITORING, AND HAVE SUPERVISED PROBATION FOR A DEADLY CRASH HE CAUSED IN 2022. 42-YEAR OLD THOMAS JAMES MCWATERS DIED AFTER BEING STRUCK BY TYSON QUENTIN HORTON AFTER HE CROSSED THE CENTER LINE. HE WAS DRIVING WITH AN EYE INJURY SUFFERED IN A PHYSICAL ALTERCATION EARLIER THAT NIGHT AND IT IMPAIRED HIS VISION.
Beltrami County passes local sales tax to fund new jail by huge margin
Voters agree 8,802 to 287 to fund the county’s new jail through a 0.65% local option sales tax during Tuesday’s election. The project’s estimated at an $80 million cost.
The very first Caribou Coffee, located on France Avenue in Edina, Minn., is closing on Dec. 12 after nearly 31 years of business. Over the last 30 years, the company has expanded to over 700 coffee shops internationally and is still headquartered in Minnesota.
