Governor Tim Walz has authorized emergency assistance for six Minnesota counties that suffered damage caused by severe weather this summer, with Marshall County being one of them. That’s associated with severe weather of July 26.

As the seasons change and people will prepare for the removal of docks and other equipment for winter storage, the DNR is asking that you check those items for signs of invasive species.

The Tri-Valley Opportunity Council in Crookston and the Tri-Community Living at Home Program in Newfolden are part of $4.4 million in grants to organizations to help fight dementia. They are each receiving $50,000. Those grants administered by the Minnesota Board on Aging.

Early voting begins today in Minnesota. That means you can vote in person at the Roseau County Courthouse if you feel you otherwise would not be able to on November 5. You can also request a mail ballot. Outside of the presidential election, any number of local and state races, along with school referendums and more are on the ballot.

A reminder that the Roseau Volunteer Firefighter’s BBQ is tomorrow from 5-8 at the fire hall.
