A ROSEAU MAN IS FACING CHARGES OF ARSON AND RECKLESS DISCHARGE OF A WEAPON, RELATED TO A HOUSE FIRE EARLIER THIS MONTH. 44-YEAR OLD CHRISTOPHER WOLD IS FACING THOSE CHARGES AFTER ALLEGED SETTING FIRE THE HOME WHERE HE AND HIS FATHER RESIDED. ASIDE FROM MINOR BURNS, BOTH ESCAPED THE FIRE UNHARMED. THE INCIDENT REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
THE FIRST DATE OF HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION IN ROSEAU COUNTY IS THIS SATURDAY AT THE WARROAD CITY SHOP FROM NINE TO NOON. ADDITIONAL DATES ARE TO COME IN ROSEAU, BADGER, AND GREENBUSH.

THE ROSEAU EAGLES AUXILIARY ARE PLANNING FOR THEIR ANNUAL SPRING SOUP AND SALAD LUNCHEON ON THURSDAY, APRIL 27. THEY WILL SERVE FROM THE ROSEAU EVENT CENTER FROM 11:00-1:00, DINE-IN OR TAKE-OUT. COST IS $10 PER MEAL, WITH PROCEEDS GOING TO LOCAL CHARITIES.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR RICHARD A. FULLER OF ROSEAU WILL BE HELD TODAY (11 AM) AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN ROSEAU, WITH VISITATION AN HOUR PRIOR. MILITARY HONORS PROVIDED BY THE ROSEAU MEMORIAL HONOR GUARD.
AT A LATE MARCH ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD MEETING, THEY APPROVED THE HIRE OF ERICKA HALSTENSGARD AS A COUNTY ENGINEER. SHE’LL BEGIN THAT EMPLOYMENT ON APRIL 24.
THEY ALSO HEARD FROM SHARON MILLNER FROM NORTHWEST COMMUNITY ACTION ABOUT AN ONGOING VEHICLE REPAIR PROGRAM THAT CAN ASSIST FAMILIES WITH THE COST OF VEHICLE REPAIRS IF CERTAIN CRITERIA ARE MET.
THIS WEEK IS SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS WEEK, AND ON THURSDAY A STATEWIDE TORNADO DRILL WILL BE HELD. DRILLS WILL BE HELD AT 1:45 AND 6:45. ROSEAU COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT WILL BE SENDING OUT A CODERED ALERT DURING THAT AFTERNOON DRILL.
