THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE HAS RELEASED LONG-TERM PRICE PROJECTIONS FOR GRAINS AND LIVESTOCK;
SAYING MOSTLY STABLE PRICES ARE EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT DECADE.
AVERAGE PRICES ARE EXPECTED TO BE LOWER THAN THE PAST DECADE, BUT HIGHER THAN PRICES FROM THE YEARS 2000-2009.

THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL MEETS IN REGULAR MONTHLY SESSION THIS EVENING.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR ELEANORE THOMPSON OF GREENBUSH ARE WEDNESDAY MORNING AT ELEVEN AT OILAND LUTHERAN CHURCH IN RURAL GREENBUSH. VISITATION IS TOMORROW EVENING AFTER SIX, WITH A SEVEN O’CLOCK PRAYER SERVICE, AT GIESEKE FUNERAL CHAPEL OF GREENBUSH.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAYS THE SPRING FLOOD RISK HAS BEEN REDUCED SLIGHTLY MOSTLY BECAUSE OF A LACK OF MAJOR SNOWSTORMS IN JANUARY AND FEBRUARY; BUT THE RISK FOR MODERATE TO MAJOR SPRING FLOODING REMAINS.
IN ROSEAU, THERE IS A TEN PERCENT CHANCE THE ROSEAU RIVER WILL RISE ABOVE EIGHTEEN FEET THIS SPRING. THE HISTORIC FLOOD OF 2002 SAW THE RIVER IN THE CITY CREST AT MORE THAN TWENTY-THREE FEET.

THE DEADLINE IN THE NORTHERN THIRD OF STATE IS TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY.
THE REMOVAL DEADLINE ON MINNESOTA/CANADA BORDER WATERS IS THE LAST DAY OF MARCH.
