A RECENT BLOOD DRIVE COORDINATED BY THE ROSEAU HIGH SCHOOL NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY BROUGHT IN 43 VOLUNTEERS WITH 38 UNITS OF BLOOD BEING COLLECTED.
THE NORTHWEST MINNESOTA MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION, WHICH INCLUDE KARL MANUFACTURING AND POLARIS, SELECTED WINNERS OF AN ESSAY CONTEST TO GO ALONG WITH MANUFACTURING MONTH. AWNLEY JACOBSEN OF BUADETTE, MIKAYLA CURTIS OF WARROAD, BRENNAN JOHNSON OF ROSEAU AND VINCENT STERNBERG OF B-G-MR WERE SELECTED.
ANGEL ALBERTO TORRES-SOSA OF CROOKSTON MADE AN INITIAL COURT APPEARANCE ON FRIDAY FOR ALLEGED KIDNAPPING AND ATTEMPTED GROSS SEXUAL IMPOSITION A ND OTHER CRIMES. ON OCTOBER 15TH HE MET WITH TWO PEOPLE AT DIAMOND LOUNGE IN GRAND FORKS WHERE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO GIVE THEM A RIDE HOME AT THE END OF THE NIGHT, BUT BROUGHT THEM TO ANOTHER LOCATION INSTEAD, WHERE THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT GET AWAY, BUT EVENTUALLY ESCAPED AFTER A PHYSICAL ALTERCATION.
A Funeral Service for Joan Haugen will take place Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Moe Lutheran Church in Roseau, MN at 2:00pm with a visitation an hour prior. A Visitation will also be held the night before, October 24 at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau from 5:00-7:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Interment will be held at Moose River Cemetery in Gatzke.
A Funeral Service for Arlend J. Harder of Badger will take place on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau at 2:00pm with a visitation an hour prior.
A Memorial Service for Clair Knudson of Warroad will take place Friday, October 27, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad at 10:00am with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery.
A Memorial Service for Joan M. Bakke of Warroad, MN will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 2:00PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Warroad, MN.
A Funeral Service for Ruby Haugen of Badger will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau at 11:00am with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will be held at Badger City Cemetery.
