WHICH WOULD BE OWNED BY THE E.D.A.
THAT PROCESS IS USED BECAUSE E.D.A.’S HAVE LEGISLATIVELY CREATED POWERS THAT ARE DIFFERENT THAN A CITY’S; AN E.D.A. CAN OWN A HOUSING PROJECT AND ISSUE BONDS, BUT ROSEAU’S WILL LIKELY NEED A CITY INFUSION OF GAP FINANCING DOLLARS.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR TODD PETERSON SAID D.W. JONES (THE PROJECT DEVELOPER) IS CONSIDERING MODULAR CONSTRUCTION FOR THE BUILDING TO SAVE TIME AND MONEY.

SUPERINTENDENT TOM JEROME SAYS STAFF MEMBERS ARE FEELING MORE SECURE ABOUT TEACHING AS MANY HAVE HAD COVID VACCINATIONS.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD, LAST WEEK, APPROVED A LEGAL KIOSK PROVIDED BY LEGAL SERVICES OF NORTHWEST MINNESOTA AT THE COUNTY LAW LIBRARY.
THAT KIOSK ALLOWS USERS TO RECEIVE HELP WITH LEGAL PAPERWORK FROM AN ATTORNEY AT A REMOTE LOCATION.

 

THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE IS REMINDING MINNESOTANS THAT THE STATE’S ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM EXISTS TO HELP PAY HEATING BILLS.
GRACE ARNOLD, THE COMMERCE DEPARTMENT’S TEMPORARY COMMISSIONER, SAYS MORE MINNESOTANS ARE HAVING DIFFICULTY PAYING HEATING BILLS BECAUSE OF THE IMPACTS OF THE COVID PANDEMIC.

ONE OF THOSE GRANTS GOES TO THE GREATER BEMIDJI LAUNCH PAD, WHICH HAS BEEN WORKING WITH THE WARROAD DISCOVERY AND DEVELOPMENT HUB.
