THE JULY 18TH A-L-S FUNDRAISER IN ROSEAU IS STILL SCHEDULED BUT IS NOW A VIRTUAL EVENT.
THE ANNUAL EVENT HAS RAISED HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR LOU GEHRIG’S DISEASE RESEARCH OVER THE PAST TWO DECADES.

 

THE MINNESOTA STATE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE HOLDS A WORKSHOP NEXT WEEK, TO TALK ABOUT THE STATUS OF FALL SPORTS IN THE STATE.

81 YEAR OLD MALCOLM SALISBURY AND 87 YEAR OLD BETTYE SALISBURY OF GRAND FORKS WERE TAKEN TO A FOSSTON HOSPITAL WITH NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES AFTER A TWO VEHICLE CRASH NEAR LENGBY IN POLK COUNTY. LENGBY IS BETWEEN BAGLEY AND FOSSTON ON HIGHWAY TWO.
THE SALISBURY VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY A MACK SEMI-TRUCK DRIVEN BY 28 YEAR OLD ANDREW MURRAY OF GRAND FORKS.

 

AN OUTDOOR CELEBRATION OF THE LIFE OF LINDA DALE OF WARROAD IS JULY 18TH (1 PM) AT RONNIE AND LINDA DALE’S WARROAD HOME.
ANOTHER CELEBRATION IS JULY 25TH IN EMBARRASS, MINNESOTA.
LINDA DALE WAS 67.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD, THIS WEEK, TALKED ABOUT THE WANNASKA SEWER DISTRICT – WHICH HAS STRUGGLED TO SUSTAIN ONGOING MAINTENANCE COSTS AND A BOND REPAYMENT.
THAT SEWER DISTRICT WAS CREATED IN THE EARLY 2000’S AT THE INSISTENCE OF THE MINNESOTA POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCY.

 

THURSDAY NIGHT SUMMER CONCERTS AT ROSEAU’S RIVERVIEW PARK GAZEBO CONTINUE THIS EVENING WITH KARLSTAD COUNTRY ARTIST DARIANN LEIGH.
SHE’S BEEN STREAMING SHOWS SINCE THE ONSET OF THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC.

THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL, THIS WEEK, OFFICIALLY APPOINTED FOURTEEN PEOPLE AS CITY OF ROSEAU ELECTION JUDGES FOR BOTH THE AUGUST PRIMARY AND NOVEMBER GENERAL ELECTIONS.
MARY FOLEY IS THE HEAD ELECTION JUDGE.

 

ROSEAU MAYOR JEFF PELOWSKI WILL NOT SEEK A 12TH TERM IN NOVEMBER.
PELOWSKI ANNOUNCED THIS WEEK THAT HE WON’T FILE FOR ANOTHER TWO YEAR TERM AS MAYOR.
THIS IS JEFF PELOWSKI’S 22ND YEAR AS MAYOR OF ROSEAU. HE WAS FIRST ELECTED AS A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE IN 1998, SUCCEEDING BERNIE BURGGRAF.

 

ON A ROSEAU COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE CALL THIS WEEK, LIFECARE PUBLIC HEALTH DIRECTOR JULIE PAHLEN SAID THE FIRST SIX CONFIRMED COVID CASES IN THE COUNTY AVERAGED TWO OR THREE CLOSE CONTACTS;
PAHLEN SAYS THE MOST RECENT ELEVEN CASES ARE AVERAGING NINE TO TEN CLOSE CONTACTS;
WHICH MEANS FOURTEEN DAYS OF QUARANTINE.
ROSEAU COUNTY CORONAVIRUS CASES HAVE SPIKED OVER THE PAST TWO WEEKS.
