THE HIGHWAY 11 DETOUR EAST OF ROSEAU HAS BEEN LIFTED AND THE STRAIGHT SHOT FROM ROSEAU TO SALOL AND WARROAD HAS RE-OPENED.

US SENATOR AMY KLOBUCHAR HAS COSPONSORED A BI-PARTISAN BILL THAT REQUIRE AUTO MAKER TO KEEP AM RADIO IN ALL NEW VEHICLES AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE BUYER. THEY STATE THAT IMPORTANT NEWS, FARM BROADCASTS, AND EMERGENCY ALERTS ARE BROUGHT TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH AM RADIO.
THIS WILL MARK THE FIRST YEAR THAT JUNETEENTH, JUNE 19TH, IS AN OFFICIAL STATE HOLIDAY WHICH MEANS OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT BUSINESS CANNOT BE CONDUCTED, THEREFORE, ROSEAU COUNTY HAS DECIDED THAT THE COUNTY COURTHOUSE, SOCIAL SERVICES BUILDING, AND HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE FACILITIES WILL ALL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.
This week, Congresswoman Fischbach and her Republican colleagues voted in favor of overturning the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives’ (ATF) rule that forces law-abiding gun owners to dispose of or register their firearms with stabilizing braces. She said “Millions of sportsmen with disabilities, many of them veterans, use stabilizing braces in order to shoot firearms they would otherwise be unable to hold. The ATF rule under this administration makes many of those people felons.”
CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR KATHY ANN OLSON OF BIG LAKE, FORMERLY OF ROSEAU, WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, JUNE 17 AT BETHESDA LUTHERAN CHURCH AT 11 AM. A LUNCH WILL FOLLOW. KATHY PASSED AWAY ON MAY 14 AT THE AGE OF 55.
