THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD HAS APPROVED AN ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH WIDSETH, SMITH AND NOLTING FOR A QUIET ZONE PROJECT IN WARROAD AND LAKE TOWNSHIP FOR CANADIAN NATIONAL RAILROAD. A QUIET ZONE MEAN TRAINS DO NOT NEED TO SOUND THEIR HORN WHILE APPROACHING HIGHWAY GRADE RAILROAD CROSSINGS.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD ALSO APPROVED A COUNTY EQUIPMENT AUCTIONS POLICY WHICH WOULD ALLOW DEPARTMENT HEADS TO PLACE ITEMS FOR ONLINE AUCTION IF THEIR VALUE DOESN’T EXCEED FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS.

 

FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW, LIFECARE MEDICAL CENTER IN ROSEAU HAS BEEN NAMED ONE OF THE TOP ONE HUNDRED CRITICAL ACCESS HOSPITALS IN THE UNITED STATES.

LIFECARE HAS MADE THE TOP ONE HUNDRED THREE OF THE PAST FOUR YEARS.

ELIGIBILITY CONTINUES TO INCLUDE INDIVIDUALS AGE 65 PLUS, AND THOSE WITH RARE CONDITIONS OR DISABILITIES, IN ADDITION TO PEOPLE AGE 45-64 WITH ONE OR MORE MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND AGE 16 TO 44 WITH TWO OR MORE UNDERLYING MEDICAL CONDITIONS. 463-4751 CONTINUES TO BE THE PHONE NUMBER TO CALL TO ARRANGE APPOINTMENTS.

MATTHEW AND MIRANDA GREEN OF GREENBUSH WERE ROSEAU COUNTY’S REPRESENTATIVES IN 2021, WHILE CODY AND JENNA HASBARGEN REPRESENTED LAKE OF THE WOODS COUNTY. BOTH COUPLES WILL HAVE VIRTUAL RECOGNITION EVENTS ON APRIL 6.
