THE ROSEAU COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RELEASED ADDITIONAL DETAILS ON THE VEHICLE – TRAIN ACCIDENT THAT OCCURRED ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED AT THE RAILROAD CROSSING ON COUNTY ROAD #12 AND HIGHWAY 11 JUST EAST OF WARROAD. THE DECEASED WAS 44-YEAR OLD GARY RICHARD LUSSIER OF WARROAD. HE WAS THE LONE OCCUPANT OF THE VEHICLE. WITNESSES INDICATE HIS VEHICLE WAS STOPPED ON THE TRACKS BETWEEN THE CROSSING ARMS. THE ACCIDENT REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION AND AN AUTOPSY IS BEING DONE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA CORONER’S OFFICE.
AN ARIZONA COUPLE IS FACING CHILD ABUSE AND DRUG MANUFACTURING CHARGES AFTER AUTHORITIES WERE CALLED TO A CAMPGROUND IN SOUTH DAKOTA, WHERE THEY FOUND 37-YEAR OLD JAMIE BOSONE AND 38-YEAR OLD DANIEL SMYTHE IN POSSESSION OF FENTANYL AND A DIGITAL SCALE. THE CHARGES DOCUMENTS CLAIM THE DUO USED DRUGS WHILE THE 4-YEAR OLD CHILD WAS PRESENT IN THE RV, WHICH UNDER SOUTH DAKOTA LAW COULD BE A FORM OF CHILD ABUSE OR NEGLECT. IF CONVICTED ON ALL CHARGES, BOTH COULD FACE UP TO 60 YEARS IN PRISON.
FROM AN INCIDENT ON APRIL 7, A COON RAPIDS, MINNESOTA COUPLE WAS SHOT DEAD ON A HIGHWAY NEAR THE PACIFIC COAST OF MEXICO. ACCORDING TO REPORTS A GROUP OF UNKNOWN INDIVIDUALS ON MOTORCYCLES CAUGHT UP TO THE TRUCK WITH THE COUPLE INSIDE AND SHOT THEM SEVERAL TIMES. A GO FUND ME PAGE SET UP FOR THE COUPLE IDENTIFIES THEM AS MIGUEL ANGEL ABREGO HURTADO AND CONCEPCION LETICIA CARRILLO ARELLANO. THE COUPLE WAS TRAVELING IN A VEHICLE WITH MINNESOTA LICENSE PLATES.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR GEORGE L. GANYO OF WARROAD WILL BE HELD THIS FRIDAY (11 AM) AT ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH IN WARROAD. VISITATION WILL BE THURSDAY (5-7 PM) AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN WARROAD, AND ALSO ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE SERVICE AT THE CHURCH. INTERMENT WILL BE AT A LATER DATE.
