GOVERNOR TIM WALZ SAID YESTERDAY IN A STATEMENT THAT HE WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE TRADITIONAL MINNESOTA STATE FAIR GOVERNOR’S DEBATE SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 2ND. ON AUGUST 10TH, WALZ HAD SAID HE WOULD BE PART OF THAT EVENT. HIS OPPONENT, DOCTOR SCOTT JENSEN, LOOKED AT THIS AS OPPORTUNITY TO CLAIM THAT “GOVERNOR WALZ IS LITERALLY HIDING FROM MINNESOTA VOTERS.”
GOVERNOR WALZ YESTERDAY DID ANNOUNCE THAT FREE MEALS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT SCHOOL TO ROUGHLY 90,000 NEW STUDENTS, THANKS TO A NEW USDA PILOT PROGRAM THAT THE STATE HAD APPLIED FOR. ESSENTIALLY ALL STUDENTS ON MEDICAID WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED OR RE-ENROLLED INTO THE FREE MEAL PROGRAM. MINNESOTA WAS ONE OF EIGHT STATES ACCEPTED.
IN LESS THAN A MONTH, ROSEAU’S NEWEST APARTMENT BUILDING, ELEVEN01 APARTMENTS, WILL HAVE A GRAND OPENING ON SEPTEMBER 13TH.

IN AREA CONSERVATION OFFICER REPORTS THIS WEEK, THEY ARE REMINDED PARENTS THAT AN APPROVED HELMET IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PASSENGERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 ON ANY ATV WHEN NOT ON THEIR OWN PRIVATE PROPERTY. THEY’VE ALSO BEGUN TO KEEP THEIR EYE ONE BEAT-BAITING ACTIVITY.
