THE GO ROSEAU FACEBOOK PAGE HAS BEEN BUSY GETTING INFORMATION OUT ON SOME HOLIDAY SEASON EVENTS. THE CITY CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING WILL TAKE PLACE AT MOTHER’S MEMORY PARK ALONG HIGHWAY ELEVEN ON NOVEMBER 25 AT 5:30 PM. THE ROSEAU MINISTERIAL ASSOCIATION WILL BE PROVIDING MUSIC AND THE STORY OF CHRISTMAS, WHILE CITIZENS STATE BANK PROVIDE TREATS AND REFRESHMENTS.
THE NIGHTS OF LIGHTS THIS YEAR WILL BE HELD AT THE PIONEER FARM, INSTEAD OF THE CITY PARK, AND WILL PROVIDE BOTH A DRIVE THRU AND WALK THROUGH EVENT. THE FIRST OF THOSE DATES IS DECEMBER 9.
THE ROSEAU PUBLIC LIBRARY ANNOUNCED THAT THEIR GIFTS OF GIVING EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE DECEMBER 5TH. ITEMS DONATED TO THE EVENT ARE BEING ACCEPTED THROUGH DECEMBER 3. THE EVENT GIVES CHILDREN THE ABILITY TO PURCHASE DONATED ITEMS AT AN EXTREMELY LOW PRICE, SO THEY CAN GIVE GIFTS TO FAMILY ON CHRISTMAS.
THE CITY OF ROSEAU IS SEEKING A NEW CHIEF OF POLICE THAT WOULD LEAD THE ROSEAU DEPARTMENT BEGINNING JANUARY 1. THEY’RE ACCEPTING APPLICANTS THROUGH NOVEMBER 11.
AREA CONSERVATION OFFICERS ARE BUSY PREPARING FOR THE FIREARMS SEASON OPENER THIS WEEKEND, WHILE CONTINUING TO CHECK WITH ANGLERS, WATERFOWL, AND SMALL GAME HUNTERS. TWO CONSERVATION OFFICERS DEALT WITH REMOVING BLINDS AND STANDS FROM WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREAS. HUNTERS ARE REMINDED TO BRUSH UP ON REGULATIONS BEFORE TEH SEASON.
A FUNERAL SERVICE FOR DENNIS A. DOLE OF SKIME WILL BE HELD MONDAY (11 AM) AT BETHESDA LUTHERAN CHURCH IN SKIME. VISITATION WILL BE HELD AN HOUR PRIOR. INTERMENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT REINE TOWNSHIP CEMETERY IN SKIME. DENNIS PASSED AWAY FRIDAY AT THE AGE OF 79.
