A Funeral service for Marian E. Roseen of Roseau, MN will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 3:00PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Spruce Cemetery in Roseau, MN.
Marian was born in Roseau Minnesota to John and Ludikka Sjodin. She attended school in Roseau and later worked as a waitress at the Encore Café. There she met and fell in love with Lloyd Roseen. They were married on June 16, 1946. They moved to Portland Oregon where she worked at Janzen Knitting Mill. In Portland (Steven) their son was born. Marian and Lloyd moved back to Roseau. At that time their daughter (Rachel) was born. Then Marian and Lloyd moved to South Dakota where their daughter (Marie) was born in Miller.
Marian loved to garden, crochet, knit, sew, and bake. She always enjoyed hearing stories about her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Marian and Lloyd enjoyed picking blueberries and fishing together. She was involved with the First Lutheran Church group. She enjoyed reading the bible.
Left to mourn her passing are her children Steven (Diane) Roseen, Rachel (Bryan) Olson and Marie (Kevin) Johnson; grandchildren Jeremy, Joshua, Nathaniel, Luke and Joseph Roseen, Nicole (Chad) McDonald, David (Rachel) Rygh, Tara Rygh, Shelly (Nathan) Cossentine and Connie (Brian) Levin along with several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Ludikka Sjodin, her husband Lloyd and siblings Judith (Elmer) Olson, Donna (Manfred) Olson and Lila (George) Nelson
