Nancy Marie (Salo) Brandli, age 78, a long-time resident of Warroad, Minnesota, died on August 21, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo from complications of a recent fall.

Nancy attended the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she met fellow student Art Brandli. She graduated in 1967 with a degree in math education, and they were married the same month. Nancy taught high school math in the Twin Cities until the birth of their first child. She managed both the household and farming budgets and proudly drove the combine during the sunflower harvest.

Nancy and Art retired from farming in 2007 and enjoyed dozens of cruises, including two circumnavigations, ports on all seven continents, and more than 80 countries.  Their children and grandchildren joined them on an Alaskan cruise for their 40th anniversary and a Norwegian fjord cruise to mark their 50th.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Art; children Shari (Chris Charbonneaux), Craig (Kim), Amy (Josh Lee), and Kathy (Brian Hanson); grandchildren Luke, Kate, Kylee, Evan, Adam, Yusef, Saami, and Helene; step-grandchildren Addie and Soren; her husband’s siblings Allan, Evonne Anderson (Tom), and Karen Pederson (Wes); and many nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad, Minnesota on August 31, 2024, at 11:00 am with a luncheon to follow. Informal visitation one hour prior to the service.  No graveside service is planned.  Per Nancy’s request, please wear tropical, resort attire such as Hawaiian shirts or skirts and bright, summery colors.
