A visitation for RaNae Olson of Roseau will take place at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau from 10:00-12:00 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Interment will take place at Malung Cemetery.
RaNae Lynn Olson passed away on Saturday, August 10th, 2024 at her home in Malung at the age of 66.
She was born on August 14th, 1957 to Beverly (Lanes) Clasen and Orvis Wayne Olson. She attended Roseau Elementary and Roseau High School and graduated in 1975.
After graduating, RaNae married Don Omdahl and they had a son, Jamie. RaNae and Don then divorced, and both remarried later in life. Throughout her life she worked at various places including Polaris where she held many positions including working on the assembly line, working in the warehouse and as a technical service representative. Her most recent job she held at Intercept Industries where she worked with inventory and plant scheduling.
RaNae was a huge animal lover and especially loved taking care of her horses. She had a love for nature photography as well that she passed on to her grandchildren.
She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, Kailey, Kaia, and Ashlynn. RaNae and her granddaughters formed a very strong bond as they took care of the sheep together at her farm in Malung for many years. She was so very proud of them and loved going to the county fair to watch them show sheep.
RaNae was a very generous person with a fierce sense of pride for being independent and enjoyed helping other people and will be missed by many.
RaNae is survived by her son; Jamie Omdahl of Roseau, Grandaughters; Kailey, Kaia and Ashlynn Omdahl, sister; Terri Boroos of Warroad, nieces and nephews; Holly Boroos and Ben Boroos.
She is preceded in death by her stepfather; Fred Clasen, her mother; Beverly Clasen of Roseau, her father; Orvis (Thelma) Olson of Roseau,sister; Heidi Olson of Roseau, grandparents; Obert (Elsie) Olson, Arnold Lanes and Milton (Leone) Magnusson.
