KATIE BOROWICZ SCORED 25 POINTS, AND KACIE BOROWICZ ADDED 22 MORE FOR THE RAMS, WHO’LL MEET CROOKSTON IN FRIDAY’S FINAL. EMMA BOROWICZ HAD 11 POINTS IN CROOKSTON’S 47-35 SEMIFINAL WIN OVER EAST GRAND FORKS. THE SHOCKER OF THE NIGHT SAW 4TH SEED ALBANY KNOCK OFF THE TOP RANKED CLASS “AA” TEAM IN THE STATE, SAUK CENTRE, 47-41 IN A SECTION 6AA SEMIFINAL. IN SECTION 8A GIRLS BASKETBALL SEMIFINALS, STEPHEN-ARGYLE BEAT B-G-MR 67-57, AND RED LAKE TOPPED FOSSTON 58-47.
THE STATE CLASS “A” BOYS HOCKEY TOURNAMENT STARTS TODAY IN ST PAUL; SECTION EIGHT CHAMP EAST GRAND FORKS PLAYS MINNESOTA RIVER.
WARROAD’S QUINN KUNTZ, KATIE KOTLOWSKI, GENO HENDRICKSON AND HANNAH CORNELIUSON HAVE BEEN NAMED TO THE CLASS “A” ALL-STATE GIRLS HOCKEY TEAM. KHLOE LUND OF THIEF RIVER FALLS ALSO MADE THAT HONORS SQUAD. ROSEAU’S KAYLA SANTL EARNED CLASS “AA” HONORABLE MENTION.
