The Minnesota Vikings last night fell to the Detroit Lions 31 to 9, losing their grip on the NFC North title and Number 1 seed. Struggling in the red zone, quarterback Sam Darnold completed just 18 of 41 passes, and the Vikings went oh for 4 in scoring opportunities. The Lions dominated behind Jahmyr Gibbs’ four-touchdown performance and Jared Goff’s efficient play. Now a 14-win wild card team, the Vikings will face the Rams in a Monday night playoff game at SoFi Stadium, hoping to salvage their season after another tough loss to Detroit.  In other NFL action, the New York Jets beat the Miami Dolphins 32 to 20, Seahawks won over the Rams 30 to 25, Cardinals over the 49ers 47 to 24, Chargers over the Raiders 34 to 20, and finally Broncos beat the Chiefs 38 to 0.
