ROSEAU’S KATIE BOROWICZ HAS COMMITTED TO PLAYING COLLEGE BASKETBALL AT THE UNIVERSITY of MINNESOTA. SHE’LL BE A SENIOR FOR THE RAMS NEXT WINTER.

 

THE UNIVERSITY of NORTH DAKOTA FIRED WOMENS BASKETBALL COACH TRAVIS BREWSTER, WHO HAD BEEN IN GRAND FORKS FOR NINE YEARS. ROSEAU’S KACIE BOROWICZ IS A FIGHTING HAWKS FRESHMAN.

 

SECTION 8AA BOYS BASKETBALL SEMIFINALS – FERGUS FALLS BEAT DILWORTH/GLYNDON/FELTON 75-55; AND PERHAM EDGED EAST GRAND FORKS 66-63.

 

AT THE STATE CLASS “AA” GIRLS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT, SECTION EIGHT CHAMP PELICAN RAPIDS LOST A LOW SCORING 38-22 QUARTERFINAL TO 5TH SEED WASECA.
NUMBER TWO SEED SAUK CENTRE FELL 47-42 TO PROVIDENCE ACADEMY; NUMBER THREE SEED NEW LONDON/SPICER LOST 60-56 TO DULUTH MARSHALL; BUT THE NUMBER ONE SEED, ROCHESTER LOURDES, ADVANCED WITH A VICTORY OVER CONCORDIA ACADEMY.

 

ROSEAU’S JARED GUSTAFSON IS THE SECTION 8AA ASSISTANT HOCKEY COACH OF THE YEAR.

 

ROSEAU’S AARON NESS WAS ASSIGNED TO TUCSON OF THE AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE, BY THE NHL ARIZONA COYOTES.

 

THE MINNESOTA HOCKEY HUB HAS RELEASED WHAT IT CALLS A “WAY TOO EARLY” PRESEASON BOYS HOCKEY POLL FOR NEXT WINTER. IN CLASS “AA”, ROSEAU IS 9TH, GRAND RAPIDS 10TH AND MOORHEAD 17TH. THE RAMS RETURN ALL BUT THREE PLAYERS NEXT YEAR. THE TOP THREE ARE MAPLE GROVE, EDEN PRAIRIE AND HILL/MURRAY.
IN CLASS “A”, HERMANTOWN IS NUMBER ONE; WARROAD IS 4TH; AND THIEF RIVER FALLS 13TH.

 

THE UNIVERSITY of NORTH DAKOTA HAS ANNOUNCED NO FANS WILL BE ALLOWED AT THIS WEEKEND’S HOCKEY PLAYOFF SERIES WITH COLORADO COLLEGE.
