THE MINNESOTA TWINS CLINCHED THEIR FIRST AL CENTRAL TITLE SINCE 2010 WHEN THEY BEAT DETROIT 5-1 AND CLEVELAND LOST TO THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX. RANDY DOBNAK ALLOWED ONE HIT IN SIX SPARKLING INNINGS, AND LUIS ARRAEZ AND EDDIE ROSARIO HOMERED FOR MINNESOTA. THE TWINS HAVE WON 98 GAMES, THEIR MOST SINCE 1970.

 

MINNESOTA RELIEVER SAM DYSON HAD SURGERY ON HIS SHOULDER, ENDING THE RIGHT-HANDER’S SEASON AND POTENTIALLY PUTTING 2020 IN JEOPARDY AS WELL.
