Roseau County has 53 Positive Cases; with 1 new cases reported today; 7 ACTIVE Cases; 46 having recovered (out of isolation).
The World Health Organization says that a 14-day positive test rate of below 5 percent is the key to keeping businesses open.
Monday’s update includes 625 new cases of the coronavirus, seven of which have been removed for an official count of 618. Those positive cases are the result of 12,787 diagnostic tests, creating a daily test positivity rate of 4.83%.
Minnesota’s test positivity rate – based on positive results divided by total number of tests – over a 7-day rolling average, based on MDH data, as of Monday, is 4.89%. “If you go above 5 percent it indicates that you may be heading back into a phase of more rapid spread of the disease,” said MDH Commissioner Jan Malcolm.
The number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 increased to 320, including 159 in the ICU. However, Minnesota healthcare facilities have a maximum capacity of 2,176 ICU beds, of which there are currently 1,012 in use.
Statewide:
- Tests: 1,172,118 (up from 1,159,139)
- Positive cases: 61,516 (up from 60,898)
- Deaths: 1,660 (up from 1,657)
- Currently hospitalized: 320 (up from 312)
- Patients in intensive care: 159 (up from 148)
- Patients no longer requiring isolation: 54,364 (up from 53,568)
