Roseau County has 580 Positive Cases; with 30 new cases reported today; 206 ACTIVE Cases; 374 having recovered (out of isolation) and 1 accumulated death.
After reporting nearly 6,000 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, the Minnesota Department of Health’s update Monday includes a further 3,930 cases, though the decline is likely due to only approximately 26,000 tests conducted compared to nearly 45,000 in Sunday’s report.
There are also 19 more deaths included in Monday’s report, bringing Minnesota’s death toll from COVID-19 to 2,675. Of those, 1,850 were residents of long-term care facilities, including 14 of the 19 deaths reported Monday.
The positivity rate reported Monday when total cases is divided by total tests, is 15.11%. The World Health Organization recommended in May that a percent positive rate of below 5% for at least two weeks is necessary to safely reopen the economy. That 5% threshold is based on total positives divided by total tests.
