Roseau County has 470 Positive Cases; with 34 new cases reported today; 96 ACTIVE Cases; 374 having recovered (out of isolation).
There were 3,956 new cases of COVID-19 reported Thursday, 14 of which were removed for an official count of 3,942.
The update includes 25 more deaths, 17 of whom were residents of long-term care facilities. Long-term care deaths have accounted for 1,777 of the state’s 2,555 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
The MDH reported 31,793 diagnostic PCR tests and an additional 2,512 antigen tests for a total of 34,305 completed tests.
Those tests were from 20,948 people tested. People are often tested multiple times, so the more accurate reading for test positivity rate is based on the total number of people tested, which today’s report is at 18.8%.
The positivity rate reported Wednesday, when total cases is divided by total tests, is 11.4%. Health experts say positivity rates need to be below the 5% mark to control the spread of the virus.
