Roseau County has 436 Positive Cases; with 24 new cases reported today; 113 ACTIVE Cases; 323 having recovered (out of isolation).
There were 3,844 new cases of COVID-19 reported Wednesday, 17 of which were removed for an official count of 3,827.
The update includes 31 more deaths, 19 of whom were residents of long-term care facilities. Long-term care deaths have accounted for 1,760 of the state’s 2,530 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
Of the new deaths reported, one person from Hennepin County was in their 30s (35-39). So far, just 25 people under the age of 40 have died from COVID-19 in Minnesota.
The MDH reported 30,831 diagnostic PCR tests and an additional 1,944 antigen tests for a total of 32,775 completed tests.
Those tests were from 20,382 people tested. People are often tested multiple times, so the more accurate reading for test positivity rate is based on the total number of people tested, which today’s report is at 18.7%. It was 49.6% in Tuesday’s update.
The positivity rate reported Wednesday, when total cases is divided by total tests, is 11.67% (it was 29.68% Tuesday). Health experts say positivity rates need to be below the 5% mark to control the spread of the virus.

- People tested: 1,919,612 (up from 1,899,230)

- Deaths: 2,530 – 25 of which are “probable*” (up from 2,499)
