A Memorial Service for Delores M. Bodenhamer will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00AM at Riverside Lutheran Church in Wannaska, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Mickinock Cemetery, rural Wannaska, MN.
Delores Marie Bodenhamer passed away at LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau, MN on October 29, 2024, at the age of 87. Delores was born on June 11, 1937 to Adolph and Marie (Simonson) Lanes. She grew up in the Wannaska area and was a graduate of Roseau High School. She worked at the Roseau Area Hospital (now LifeCare) for many years before her retirement. She also sold Avon to the community and was part of the annual President’s Club. Delores was a member of Riverside Lutheran Church in Wannaska, MN.
Delores loved to cook, bake, garden, play cards and spend time with her family. She was everyone’s favorite baker, making dozens of Christmas cookies, cinnamon rolls, buns and the best flatbread. She made treats for family and friends and passed the tradition on to her grandchildren. Her most treasured times were spent with her grandchildren and family.
Delores is survived by four sons, Mitchell and Dawn Brandt of West Branch, IA; Mark Brandt and Beni Hauck of Moorhead, MN; Tim and Julie Brandt of Bemidji, MN; and Jeff Seydel of Wannaska; seven grandchildren, Amber, Lisa, Andy, Paige, Cody, Marissa and Corey, three great-grandchildren, Asher, Layla and Willa; as well as special friend and cousin Ann Estabrooks.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents and sister Diana Lanes.
We couldn’t have asked for a better mom and grandma. We will miss her everyday and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
