Kurt Walter Wojchowski passed away on April 16, 2025 at Warroad Senior Living Center at the age of 53 following a diagnosis of Early Onset of Alzheimers in 2021.
Kurt was born on October 11th, 1971 to Gene and Twyla (Melby) Wojchowski. He was the youngest of 3 children. Kurt was born and raised in Greenbush, MN attending Greenbush High School and graduating in 1990. Kurt married the love of his life Nikki (Wahl) Wojchowski at Oiland Lutheran Church in Greenbush on April 14th, 2001 and they resided and raised 3 children in Greenbush.
In his teenage years, Kurt loved to farm with his Dad. Upon graduation, he started work at Polaris Industries in Roseau, MN where in his 31 years of work held various positions. Most of those years were spent in the welding department where many friendships were created. Kurt also volunteered his time to the Greenbush Fire Department for 31 years and was an instructor for the state of Minnesota for a few years. Kurt had a love for all things outdoors, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and riding on his tractor. If he wasn’t outside, you would often find him working in his shop. One of his favorite places to be was at the family cabin where he spent countless hours in the deer stand, making food plots, walking in the woods, sitting around the campfire, playing card games, and shaking dice. Another one of his favorite places was in the gym or out at the fields supporting his kids and all BGMR athletics. Kurt had a love for children, and children had a love for him. No matter where he was or who was around, kids always found their way to him.
Kurt will be dearly missed by his loving wife Nikki, his children TeJay, Conner and Jacey all of Greenbush; his grandpups Hoyt and Timber; his mother Twyla of Warroad; siblings Kimberly Gram (Darin) of Alvarado, Kris (Lonny) Wojchowski of Grand Forks; Father-in-law Layton (Brenda) Wahl of Badger, Mother-in-law Sherry Wahl (Brian) of Greenbush; Brothers-in-law Trent (Kelly) Wahl of Fairfax, VA , Greg Zimbleman of Bemidji; Sisters-in-law ReNae (Paul) Roney of Oakes, ND, Onica (Ryan) Johnson of Leonard, ND; many Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
