A FUNERAL SERVICE FOR STEPHEN J. PULCZINSKI WILL BE HELD THURSDAY AT ST MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH IN BADGER (2 PM) WITH VISITATION AN HOUR PRIOR. THERE WILL ALSO BE VISITATION WEDNESDAY, AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN ROSEAU (5-7 PM), WITH A 7:00 PRAYER SERVICE. INTERMENT WILL BE HELD AT MALUNG CEMETERY.

AT A LATE MARCH SCHOOL BOARD MEETING, THE BOARD ACCEPTED THE RESIGNATIONS OF ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL AMY MCGUIRE, HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL JOE BRODERICK, AND MUSIC TEACEHR BONNIE DEHLIN WENSLOFF, BOTH EFFECTIVE AT THE END OF THE CURRENT CONTRACT YEAR.
THE ROSEAU EAGLES AUXILIARY SERVE THEIR ANNUAL SOUP AND SALAD LUNCHEON THIS THURSDAY AT THE ROSEAU EVENT CENTER FROM 11:00-1:00. IT IS DINE IN OR TAKE OUT. PROCEEDS GO BACK TO LOCAL CHARITIES.
THE ROSEAU-LAKE OF THE WOODS SPORTMANS CLUB HAS BEEN BUSY, GIVING BACK TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS. RECENTLY THEY’VE GIVEN DONATIONS TO ROSEAU COUNTY VETERANS SERVICES, ROSEAU, WARROAD AND LAKE OF THE WOODS AMBULANCE SERVICE, ROSEAU AND WARROAD ROBOTICS PROGRAMS, AND THE WARROAD EAGLES AUXILIARY.
SUNDAY IS THE FATHER-DAUGHTER DANCE PUT ON BY THE ROSEAU WOMEN OF TODAY.
One person was injured and three people were arrested following a drive-by shooting early Sunday near Cass Lake. OFFICERS FOUND THAT TWO RESIDENCES HAD HIT BY GUNFIRE AND ONE ADULT MALE REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION FOR NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES. AFTER A PURSUIT, TWO ADULT MALES AND A JUVENILE MALE WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY.
IT WAS A DEADLY WEEKEND FOR UNDER-AGED DRIVERS OF ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES. A TEENAGER WAS KILLED OVER THE WEEKEND IN AN ATV CRASH IN CHISAGO COUNTY, WHILE TWO 10-YEAR OLDS WERE KILLED IN A SEPARATE ATV CRASH NEAR AFTON.
