A PROJECT TO IMPROVE STORM WATER DRAINAGE ON THE WEST SIDE OF ROSEAU IS NOW FULLY FUNDED AT THE FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LEVELS. THAT WILL HELP TO LIMIT THE LIKELIHOOD OF FLOODING DURING HEAVY RAIN EVENTS. IT’S ALSO SOMETHING THAT NEEDED TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE A PROJECT TO TURN HIGHWAY 89 INTO AN URBAN SECTION COULD BE DONE.
BORDER BANK, WITH LOCAL LOCATIONS CURRENTLY IN ROSEAU, BAUDETTE, BADGER, GREENBUSH, AND MIDDLE RIVER HAS APPLIED FOR CONSENT TO ESTABLISH A BRANCH IN WARROAD.

THE GRAND FORKS HERALD HAS A STORY ON THE NORTHWEST ANGLE ONE-ROOM SCHOOL HOUSE WHICH WILL REMAIN OPEN AFTER THERE WERE QUESTIONS ABOUT IT’S FUTURE. THEY HAVE A NEW TEACHER LINED UP THAT WILL TAKE OVER THE CLASSROOM, WHICH EXPECTS FOUR STUDENTS NEXT YEAR. THE SCHOOL FALLS WITHIN THE WARROAD DISTRICT, AND THERE IS A PUBLIC MEETING AT THE NORTHWEST ANGLE AT 6 PM ON APRIL 11 TO DISCUSS THE PLAN.

A funeral service for June Hagen of Badger will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Badger at 11:00am with a visitation an hour prior. A visitation will also take place the night before at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Interment will be held at Badger City Cemetery in Badger.
